[COVERED] Actor Seo Kang Jun at ‘Cheese In The Trap’ Media Conference in Singapore 2016


Actor Seo Kang Jun, also a member of the five-member group 5urprise, made his first visit to Singapore to promote his latest drama series ‘Cheese in the Trap’.

Seo Kang Jun who is garnering immense popularity with his role as Baek In Ho in ‘Cheese in the Trap’, drew a huge crowd of fans at his meet & greet session at Suntec City in Singapore.

The webtoon-based drama series ‘Cheese in the Trap’ has been gaining much attention and popularity since its premiere. Seo Kang Jun believes that the greatest charm of this drama would be the fluttering feeling it delivers to the audience. The drama also portrays the actual campus life in Korea which the audiences could easily relate to.

With the high expectation of the drama, Seo Kang Jun shared about his concern and pressure in playing the role of Baek In Ho. The actor-singer has a quiet and calm personality unlike Baek In Ho who has an extrovert character with an outgoing personality. Despite the differences and worry, he worked hard in preparation for the role as he was determined to meet these expectations. He eventually overcomes the concern as he became more comfortable with his role.

While there are differences, Seo Kang Jun revealed that if he were in a one-sided love relationship with Hong Seol like Baek In Ho, he would also wish for her happiness. Another similarity would their ability to play the piano. Although Seo Kang Jun confessed that he is not good at piano, he shared that he has learned it for 7 years and it was a great help to his role in this drama.

When asked about the characters he would like to play in the future, he mentioned his interests in trying out various roles. He brought up his interest in a role as a student which is similar to his age, whereas fans suggested a vampire character due to his fair complexion.

Besides starring in ‘Cheese in the Trap’, Seo Kang Jun also participated in the filming of the variety show ‘Law of the Jungle’ and revealed his plans on meeting his overseas’ fans.
